The Institute for Physical Planning of the City of Zagreb is a public institution founded by the City of Zagreb and responsible for carrying out professional activities in the field of physical and urban planning. Through the preparation of spatial plans, expert studies, reports, analyses and planning guidelines, the Institute supports the sustainable spatial development of Zagreb and contributes to the creation of a high-quality urban environment.

The Institute plays a key role in shaping the future development of the city by providing expert support for strategic planning and informed decision-making. Its activities include the preparation and coordination of spatial and urban planning documents, monitoring spatial development trends, managing spatial data and geographic information systems (GIS), and participating in national and European projects related to sustainable urban development.

Through close cooperation with city offices, public institutions, universities, professional organisations and citizens, the Institute promotes integrated, transparent and forward-looking planning practices.
